1. Introduction

The misogynistic, racist, jihadist, anti-Western, anti-Christian, inhumane and brutal Muslim Brotherhood - a covert organisation formed in Egypt during 1928 - is the primary driver behind an expansion in new millennium (circa post-2000) Islamic terrorism and the spread of Sharia law around the world through affiliate organisations such as ISIS, al-Qaeda and Hamas, and planted politicians such as Keir Starmer (British Prime Minister) and Ilhan Omar (US Congress). This terrorism is a continuation of that begun with Muhammad (c.570-632) in the early 600s and carried out through a cult of personality against non-Muslim peoples and nation states throughout the world ever since then. The covert nature of the Muslim Brotherhood is revealed in the existence of related overt puppet humanitarian organisations such as the Council for American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) in the United States, and individuals such as lord mayors Sadiq Khan (London) and Zorhan Mamdani (New York). The manipulation of Left political organisations and groups by the Muslim Brotherhood is revealed through a preying on compassion and human rights abuse concerns in areas such as the treatment of women and, more recently, the Free Palestine movement. The Muslim Brotherhood's existence reveals the inherent and eternal conflict between the teachings of Muhammad as manifest through the Koran and Sharia law, and that of the non-Muslim world, including Western democracies and throughout the Middle-East. The Muslim Brotherhood is the primary political organisation for the implementation of basic, orthodox Islamic ideology, which is, by its very nature, anti-Western, anti-Semitic, anti-American and anti Judaeo-Christian. Also noted is the widespread use of the term Islamophobia as a means of stifling and censoring legitimate critical analysis and debate concerning the increasing spread of jihadist Islam and the Muslim Brotherhood agenda in the West. Aligned with the Muslim Brotherhood is Leftist organisation and Communist / Socialist political ideologies. Zorhan Mamdani brings all these three elements together as mayor of the City of New York.

2. A Muslim brother

Of course, not all adherents to Islam are aware of the Brotherhood's back-room role in issues such as terrorism and the push towards Sharia. A good example of this political stealth is seen in Great Britain where a large number of local Council's have Muslim representatives, including some with lord mayors such as the City of London's Sadiq Khan; and in the United States with the election of Leftist Muslims to Congress, and Zorhan Mamdani as New York Lord Mayor (Molan & Ziada 2025). Accusations of Khan's, and the Sir Kier Starmer Labour government's turning a blind eye to largely refugee Pakistan rape gangs and young female grooming gangs is said to reflect Islam's discriminatory attitude towards women, arising out of adherence to the teachings of Mohammad and Sharia law (Garner-Purkis & Cuddford 2025, Naughtie 2025, TalkTV 2025). Also:

...Disobedient Media has determined that [Sadiq] Khan has ties not just to organizations associated with ISIS, but also groups such as Hamas, Al-Nusra, Al-Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood (Hutton 2025).

Likewise, Zorhan Mamdani was financially supported by, among others, the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) which in 2017:

...opposed proposed United States legislation and executive orders which would have designated the Muslim Brotherhood as a foreign terrorist organization, saying that such a designation would "inevitably be used in a political campaign to attack those same groups and individuals, to marginalize the American Muslim community and to demonize Islam" (Baker 2017, Chapman 2025).

The Muslim Brotherhood had already been declared a terrorist organisation by the United Arab Emirates, with more than 90% of their actions taken against fellow Muslims, and not simply non-Muslim Westerners. Mamdani was convert in reference to his support of Islam during the mayoral campaign, but upon taking up the post was more open, as the following video reveals:

The Mamdani lord mayoral campaign of 2025 funding trail (illustrated below) revealed a link to the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas. It looked, in part, as follows, and as originally outlined by a US lawyer, with additional elements provided by the present writer (Chapman 2025):

Muslim Brotherhood - international Islamist terrorist organisation, developing terrorist organisations around the world and implementing an internationalisation of Islam through the overthrow of governments and application of Sharia law.

HAMAS - a branch of the Muslim Brotherhood which operates in Palestine and is the chief political party there. It, along with similar terrorist organisations, supports indoctrination of children and funding of political and social change. It supports violence & terrorism through jihad as a political tool.

Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) - 501C3 United States non-profit, tax exempt charity, prohibited from engaging in any political activity or supporting any specific political party or candidate. A front for the Muslim Brotherhood and dispersal of funds to pro-Islamic local political groups and candidates. Also linked to Hamas (see below).

CAIR Action (501C4) - social welfare organisation to be the voice of American Muslims in the political process. Created by CAIR as an affiliate. Legally it can engage in some election related activity. Established in June 2024 and the driver behind political action in the US. By law, foreign nationals are not allowed to participate in local elections. However, they do so by donating to bodies such as CAIR Action through a Super PAC (see below).

Unity and Justice Fund (UJF) Super PAC - a so-called "independent" expenditure only, political action committee which can raise funds for individuals to support their political campaigns. It is a front for CAIR and was controlled by CAIR Action. It was a tool for enabling illegal and often overseas campaign contributions to be laundered into legal campaign contributions.

New Yorkers for Lower Costs (NYLC) Super PAC. Specifically formed to support Zorhan Mamdani's lord mayoral campaign, independent of the official campaign and related laws. It received money from both US and overseas sources through CAIR affiliates as noted above - viz. CAIR Action and the Unity and Justice Fund.

Linda Sarsour - American Muslim activist with Palestinian heritage and links to HAMAS. Also Zorhan Mamdani's mentor and links to the Muslim Brotherhood via CAIR and UJF. Both Sarsour and Mamdani were/are member of the Democrat Socialists of America.

During 2024 Mamdani's New Yorkers for Lower Costs received $120,000 from CAIR and the Unity and Justice Fund. Public statements by Sarsour had been made pointing out the direct link between the two organisations with Hamas. During 2025 a bill was submitted to Congress calling for CAIR to be designated a terrorist organisation, following on previous unsuccessful attempts. All of this, and the anti-Israeli stance of both Mamdani and the various CAIR organisations, therefore linked the new New York mayor with the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist organisation through both ideology and financing. It is indeed ironic that CAIR and Mamdani used the very same capitalist networks and democratic political processes to which they were ideologically and actively opposed, to successfully manipulate the US political system, both in regards to funding and polling, leading to ultimate electoral success.

The threat to American democracy and Western values by the rise in the presence of Muslim politicians and activists was clearly outlined to Congress back in 2018 during a hearing on the subject of the global threat posed by the Muslim Brotherhood. For example, one of the testimonies opened with the following:

I am Dr. M. Zuhdi Jasser, President and founder of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy (AIFD) based in Phoenix, Arizona. I am here today, because as an American Muslim, I have dedicated my life to countering the oppressive and radicalizing influence of Islamist groups in the West upon our communities. No group embodies the threat of radical Islamism more than the Muslim Brotherhood (MB), and no group runs deeper into the consciousness of global Islamism, especially in our Arab Sunni communities than the Muslim Brotherhood and its global network of affiliates and progeny across the world. Unfortunately, much of the conversation about the Muslim Brotherhood has been obstructed, muffled, marginalized, deferred, or minimized by Muslim Brotherhood sympathizers or their allies (Jasser 2018).

A document prepared by Dr. Mohamed Akram Adlouni in 1991 for the Muslim Brotherhood of America and entitled An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America, stated at one point:

The Ikhwan [Muslim Brotherhood / brothers] must understand that their work in America is part of a grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and sabotaging its miserable house by their hands (Adlouni 1991, Horowitz 2019).

The message here is quite clear, and hidden in plain sight. The smokescreen of lies and development of political alliances and popular support has, since the 1990s, allowed the Muslim Brotherhood to prosper covertly in Western countries where it presents itself as an organisation supporting humanitarian actions and education of youth. All the while it has utilised its splinter groups to pursue a radical jihad against the West, the US and Israel, and individuals, organisations such as the Catholic Church, and nation states which are anti-Muslim or vulnerable to bullying, threats of violence and terrorism. An example of its success is seen in the following interview from 2019 with an American apologist for the Muslim Brotherhood in the form of Associate Professor Amy Austin Holmes, attached at the time to the American University of Cairo, Egypt.

In the interview Holmes speaks to the pro-democratic and humanitarian aspects of the Muslim Brotherhood, refusing to address its 'jihad of the sword' and international caliphate agenda (Holmes 2021). For this reason, it remains unlisted as a terrorist organisation in most Western countries, despite near century-long activity in pursuit of destruction of the Judaeo-Christian based democratic and humanitarian ideals. Holmes is a good example of the covert infiltration within academia and largely the Left of the sort of pro-jihadist philosophies which ultimately gave rise to the Free Palestine movement's support for Hamas post 7 October 2023. As the present writer - a supporter of the Left since the 1970s - followed that line initially during the first half of 2025, its insidious nature is clear. The present deep-dive into the history and true intent of the Muslim Brotherhood has, of course, reversed that view, revealing the dark side of both parties in the Palestine conflict.

The targeting of youth and their radicalization is a common technique used internationally by the Muslim Brotherhood (Parliament of Australia 2024). This secret plan was exposed in the following exchange between the US Senator Ted Cruz and Somali refugee woman Ayaan Hirsi Ali on 5 November 2025:

The masking of its intent has given rise to a situation wherein so-called Islamic terrorism is masked behind the names of a variety of groups such as Hamas, ISIS, the Taliban and al-Qaeda, and even civil rights and advocacy community-based organisations such as CAIR in the United States.

Are all pro-Islam groups Muslim Brotherhood fronts? Of course not. But, with the core Islamic teachings forming the basis for the jihadist actions of Muslim terrorist groups, the connections cannot be denied and are never far from mainstream Muslim activities. This is why the 75 : 25 figure is significant - 75% of Muslims are peaceful : 25% of Muslims are actively supportive of "jihad by the sword" and associated violence and terror campaigns.
