1. Introduction

According to the late American remote viewer Pat Price, Urlatherrke / Mount Zeil - the highest Australian mountain west of the Great Dividing Range - contains an underground Alien base and communications centre. The mountain is located in the centre of the continent, approximately 155km west of Alice Springs and close to the ultra-secret American Pine Gap military base and communication facility. As part of the Macdonnell Ranges, it has an elevation of 1,531 metres (5,023 feet) and is largely composed of igneous granitic rock (Zia, Li & Yao 2012). Pine Gap and Alice Springs lie to the east, and Uluru to the south-west (Alder & O'Neil 2019, Connellan 2024). The former Hermannsberg Mission is nearby, famous for its association with Australia's most renown Aboriginal artist of the mid' twentieth century, Albert Namatjira (1902-59).

2. Aboriginal significance

As the highest landform in the region, Urlatherrke / Mount Zeil is of special significant to the Aboriginal people of the Northern Territory in the Alice Springs area. This is in part due to its association with the Ayeparenye caterpillar Dreamtime story (Brooks 1991, Jamison & Schmidt 2020). It is generally the case throughout Australia that high places such as mountains and hills play an important role in local culture and ceremony, such as corroboree, initiation and storytelling / education (e.g. Yipirinya School, n.d.). The knowledge holders are the M’Bunghara, and they speak Western Arrernte. It can be noted that the word Urlatherrke is similar in part to Uluru (formerly known as Ayers Rock), the most famous geographical feature of Central Australia. A number of links to Indigenous resources related to Urlatherrke are included in the References section below. One of those is to the Yeperenya Sculpture, unveiled in 2001. It celebrates aspects of the aforementioned Dreaming story and is summarised as follows:

The Yeperenye Sculpture, celebrates the Yeperenye (Ayepe-arenye) Caterpillar, a major creative ancestor of Mparntwe (Alice Springs). .... In the Arrernte language the name yeperenye (ayepe-arenye) derives from ayepe (tar vine) and arenye (belonging to). Aboriginal spirituality is intimately connected to the land and its natural features. In Arrernte tradition, every mountain peak, hill and creek of Mparntwe holds spiritual significance. These sites were established during the altyerre (creation period) when powerful ancestral beings shaped the land. The caterpillar ancestors were the major creative forces for this area, and three powerful caterpillars - yeperenye, utnerrrengatye and ntyarike - are amongst the most sacred and important of all Arrernte totems. These ancestors came from many different places and travelled widely across central Australia. Groups of caterpillars travelled from amperrknge (Central Mt Stuart) in the north, Urlatherrke (Mt Zeil) in the west, atula to the east and apwetele on the Finke River to the south, converging at Mparntwe, the epicentre of caterpillar culture. The spectacular mountain range formations to the west of Mparntwe represent some of these travelling caterpillars. They join head to tail as they come from the east, just as real caterpillars often do when travelling. The creation ancestors, their struggles and adventures, are preserved and celebrated through oral tradition and the maintenance of sacred sites. At Mparntwe, the yeperenye fought pitched battles with the irlperenye (green beetle men). Yeperenye hurled insults at the ‘stinky’ beetle men and the irlperenye retaliated, beheading many of the intruders. Irlperenye and yeperenye have been mortal enemies ever since and the green ‘stink’ beetles are often seen attacking the juicy caterpillars with great ferocity. In olden times, old people used to get all the yeperenyes and prepare them in a certain way, I remember that. They put them in a specially dug hole and they get rid of all the insides in a ceremonial way. Then they make a fire and cook the yeperenye. They have a certain way of cooking it up and gathering them and putting them in a coolaman. They wait around until it cools and they would share it out with their families, first to the traditional owners, then to the kids, then to everyone else. They were tasty and fatty, more like prawns. Another Indigenous cultural aspect of Urlatherrke is revealed through the ancient Churinga stone of Kristian Pareroultja of the Luritja tribe, collected by anthropologist Rex Battarbee around 1949.

The engraving upon the stone, which is now part of a Norwegian museum collection, is described as follows:

Representing a possum living in a Ungnalta tree at the top of Mount Zeil (Ernilna) along Rashero Creek (Altinama), the tree turning into the corraboree stone (Churinga) song. The central spiral is Mount Zeil, the large cross of parallel lines is the Ungnalta tree or totem pole, and the U-shapes represent the corraboree dancing ground.

Note therein the reference to Mount Zeil as Ernilna. Due to variations across Indigenous language groups in Australia, specific localities and geographical features can often be recorded in different forms by non-Indigenous researchers, unaware of subtle variations in meaning, applicability, pronunciation and phonetic representation of Indigenous sounds and words when interpreted through English spelling.

Mountain peaks, extinct volcanoes, isolated hills and other such high place distinct landforms are of significance to Indigenous populations throughout the world, and the sites of paranormal and extraterrestrial-related activities through to the present day. Examples include Mount Kailish in the Himalayas, which is often referred to as the centre of the world and sacred to Tibetan Buddhist culture; Mount Shasta and Mount Adams in the United States; and Mount Fuji in Japan. All are associated with paranormal activity and strange events such as inter-dimensional portals and sightings of UFOs. Remote viewers have noted the increased energy levels around such high places and the presence of both light and dark energies and events. Mount Coolangatta in Australia is an example of a light, positive energy, with the site referred to as a stairway to heaven, or gateway to heaven for the local Indigenous population.

3. Pat Price's Alien bases 1973

Urlatherrke / Mount Zeil was identified during the 1970s and 1980s by American psychic remote viewers (known as RVers) as one of four planetary Extraterrestrial / Alien underground bases (Chalker 2005, Atkinson 2017). Two of the primary RVers who identified these facilities were former Police Commissioner Pat Price (died 1975), who briefly worked with the Stanford Research Institute (SRI), and Joe McMoneagle (b.1946) of the later CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) remote viewing Stargate Project which ran from 1978 through to 1995 and is said to be still in operation (CIA 1975 & 1987, McMoneagle 2018, im_da_nice_ guy 2023). A further significant RVer who worked with the authorities from the early 1970s was Ingo Swann (1933-2013). He was part of operation SCANATE, which sought to focus on remote viewing based on a set of geographic spatial co-ordinates. The results, apart from taking place across space, could also transgress time.

The first person to identify Mount Zeil as one of these Alien bases in an official report was Pat Price during 1973. The question therefore arose - was Price seeing these underground bases in the past, the present (i.e. real time) or the future? It seems to have been assumed at the time, and subsequently, that it was in the present, though the bases may have been in existence for a long period. Cassandra Frost, when writing on this issue during 2005, noted the following in regard to the actions of Price and a subsequent remote viewing project supervisor:

Price's report stated that the bases primary purpose was to 'reinforce B.T.L. implants, transport of new recruits and overall monitoring function.' Today, Atwater has no idea what B.T.L. implants are and, to his knowledge, no one has remote viewed this term. Price also reported that the base inhabitants looked like us - Homo sapiens - except for the heart, lungs, blood and eyes. He reported that the sites were highly protected from discovery, mutually supportive, and had very advanced technology. He also noted that they used 'thought transfer for motor control of us.' (Frost 2005)

According to Frost, the four bases were given by Price in 1973 as:

Mount Hayes, Alaska. Price: 'It appears to be a weather and geological center and has similar security measures to prevent discovery.' He described 'computer equipment' and followed leads on an 'oscilloscope' which led to a small box-like structure which contained a rotational antenna that sat on top of a mountain peak. The receiver seemed to be part of a detection system. 'If they were discovered,' Price wrote, 'personnel are deployed physically in activity to make sure of failure of that certain project. This site has also been responsible for strange activity and malfunction of US and Soviet space projects.'
Mount Perdido / Perdu, Pyrennes, Spain. Price: Price reported that the main base was protected around a 2-mile perimeter with detectors. Several craft were in the launch recovery area and had what looked like an electromagnetic field propulsion system.
Mount Inyangani / Nyangani, Zimbawe, Africa. Price: 'Actually, it's more of a maintenance and tech center. This base looks like a overhaul and maintenance unit. I see lots of spare equipment. Parts are being welded in a vacuum area with window area then parts are fused. A grayish white powder is pasted on both parts then fused.' His attention was drawn to a unit that several were working on. It is a tubular grid system 'for ionizing a layer of air.''
Mount Zeil, Northern Territory, Australia. Price: It is interesting that this unit appears to have the most personnel. There are personnel from the other three sites here, like a rest and recreation area.' For a few moments, Price felt slightly disoriented and decided they had detected him so he led them to Melbourne. Price returned to the site and saw vehicles from the other bases, with each having different ID marks that correspond to each site's different functions. 'Mt. Zeil had personnel for all bases and is the homo sapiens introduction point,' he observed. Price also noted that the site should be approached with caution and that the area was under alert at that moment.

Price wrote up his observations in report form and in 1973 presented them to Hal Puthoff at the SRI, who was already engaged in a remote viewing project. He showed it to his colleagues and Price subsequently officially began working with SRI, with some success. After Price died under mysterious circumstances in 1975 - likely poisoned - and when the Stargate Project stated in 1978, Puthoff showed the Price information to the then head of that project, Lt. F. Holmes "Skip" Atwater:

Atwater looked at Price's data and asked 'Is any of this true?' After reviewing the file, Atwater conferred with Puthoff. Puthoff told Atwater that a colleague of his knew northern Australia's CIA station chief and had decided to call him and ask what was going on. The colleague called and asked 'Hey, is there anything unusual going on down there?' The station chief answered 'No, this is a dead assignment. Nothing is going on other than all those UFOs flying around Mt. Zeil.'

Australian UFO researcher Bill Chalker included this information in his book, Hair of the Alien. Atwater, who later headed the Monroe Institute, participated in a number of remote viewings on this issue of ancient Alien bases, including the Urlatherrke / Mount Zeil site (Atwater 2003). Following declassification of a substantial portion of the Stargate Project records in 1995, he presented related information to the public, including at a conference during 2009. He also revealed details of McMoneagle's remote viewing experiences, some of which is outlined below.

Whilst remote viewing is taught and practiced amongst the general community, its continuing use by government and intelligence authorities around the world has generally been denied, despite the revelations of the declassified Stargate Project and subsequent interviews with practitioners such as McMoneagle and Atwater. As one RVer recently noted:

"[Coordinate-based] remote viewing is really a technique for getting information, anywhere in time and space. It is essentially connecting to the big cosmic database in the sky. So you can effectively visit anywhere in space and time, which makes it an effective time machine." (Lorrie Williams, 2022)

It is now stated by some, that all forms of communication - past, present and (to a degree) future - are open to third-party remote viewers. Whilst parents can now use an app such as Life360 to follow the physical movements of their children, RVers has been used in the past to locate missing individuals and physical entities or locations. It was through remote viewing that aspects of Urlatherrke / Mount Zeil, as discussed herein, were identified.

Following on the comment of the local CIA agent, the present author is not aware of any specific Urlatherrke / Mount Zeil Dreamtime stories relating to what Indigenous Australians sometimes refer to as Sky People, or what Westerners refer to as Aliens. This may be due to the secrecy surrounding the Pine Gap facility and related sites and operations, apart from the blanket secrecy imposed upon the UFO / Alien issue by Western governments since the late 1940s. It is likely that there is an underground connection between the Pine Gap facility and the Urlatherrke / Mount Zeil underground area, either ancient or modern. Some general accounts relating to central Australian tradition in regard to Aliens and UFOs are included in the following video.

4. Joe McMoneagle's description 1982

We do not have a precise record of Pat River's initial, 1973, remote viewing description of the Urlatherrke / Mount Zeil site, as that part of the CIA declassified records appears to have been withheld, though some commentators have obviously had access to it. Known summaries have been presented above. However, CIA RVer Joe McMoneagle on 8 October 1982, facilitated by Atwater, engaged in a new remote viewing of the Mount Zeil facility. Audio of selected elements of the interview is included in The Why Files video linked below. The following is an annotated transcript, along with reproduction of McMoneagle's sketch of the site entrance:

Joe: [I see] the yawning entrance to an underground cave. [There is a] black doorway, with a smooth dome of concrete. Just a black hole. It is a storage site of some kind. I see just a collage of things buried. Coils. I'm seeing boxes of electronics.

It is interesting to compare this image with the blackish area on the western edge of Urlatherrke / Mount Zeil as seen in the photograph at the top of this article. The latter may simply be a vegetation variant; or it could be the entrance to the ancient Alien base as depicted in Joe McMoneagle's drawing. A closer view of the photograph from above reveals the darkened area to perhaps be evidence of quarrying in that area of the mountain, and of a masked underground entrance.

According to The Why Files narrator, under the facility Joe McMoneagle saw another facility with advanced technology and then something familiar:

Joe: [I] keep envisioning control centres. Getting visions of all the command and control centres I have ever been at.

Joe describes an underground command centre. Later remote viewers would describe consoles and screens and what sounds a lot like the US NORAD command centre.

Interviewer (Skip Atwater): [With] reference to the caretaker personnel - do you have visuals of them or ... [cut off by Joe]

Joe: No. I just perceive a watchdog course or something there. Sense feeling of control, protection and waiting. Very little activity, very few people. It's caretaker type. Keep flashing to the protective umbrella. It is like an instantaneous umbrella.

This protective umbrella may refer to the concrete protective covering usually in place at the various underground bases, and associated with the emitting and receiving antenna infrastructure which may have been an electromagnetic element of the protective umbrella, hiding the installation from both physical and electromagnetic discovery.

Atwater: What kind of emotional impact was this target?

Joe: Oh, it's a very .... I have a very sinister feeling for this target. You know, it's like the old Darth Vader feeling and I don't know how to explain that.

Atwater: In one way you say it's not, it doesn't threaten anything, it seems to be defensive in nature.

Joe: I know, but it's a sinister feeling about it. It's not threatening now, but it's sort of like putting a snake in a box. You know he's in the box, but he's not threatening you. That kind of feeling.

These comments may reflect McMoneagle's natural fear of the unknown, specifically in regards to Aliens as a result of the fear-mongering which was - and remains - so much a part of the officially supported and promoted narrative by government and the media. Deeper analyses by RVers often dissipated such mostly unwarranted concerns. Within the military this fear-mongering is rife.

5. Lyn Buchanan's remote viewing 1980s

Lyn Buchanan is a former United States military intelligence officer who was utilised as a remote viewer, and later worked as a private remote viewer and teacher.

The following interview published in 2022 refers to a viewing of Mount Zeil:

Lyn Buchanan: One of the standard ones that I think we all did that sometime or another was the four ET bases on Earth that Pat Price had discovered and I did all four of those.

Q: Can you say more about that so where were these four alleged bases, and by the way for the audience Pat Price is one of the original remote viewers very skilled worked with SRI Stanford?

LB: Yes, fantastically skilled [and also may have died under mysterious circumstances] May have died. What was it the director of intelligence said one time -Pat Price died and nobody's seen him since. But anyway, one of the bases is in Zimbabwe, one's in Alaska, one's in the Pyrenees in Spain and one in Mount Hayes, and Australia, and we we were tasked with not only finding them but also what is done at each different site. One in Zimbabwe seems to be a repair shop. The one in the Pyrenees I forget what what they do is it's something more mundane. The one in Alaska was a intercept information collection [centre], you know a spy outfit. The one in Australia was an entry an exit point for ETs coming to and leaving the planet and they would come there and branch out around the planet from there.... The one in Australia is Mount Zeil......

Q: Where were these bases - underground, above ground?

LB: The one in Zimbabwe seemed to be underground, the others seem to be in mountains.

Q: Are they Greys or Whites?

LB: The one in Australia is the one I did the most. There were Grays. There were also humans and humanoids and mainly humans and Grays.

Q: When you say humans, do you just mean just similar DNA or like from other worlds or like they you could tell them from normal humans?

LB: I was observing and that was it. They were just people walking around doing things and there were Grays among them.

Q: Did you have any indication that they were not from Earth?

LB: I was doing a session just observing describing people I saw, and I described some of them as short Gray and all that, and the others as just humans. So I don't know. I wasn't further tasked. When you are further tasked it is called re-tasking, to get more detailed information and I was never recast on it.

6. Exposure 1998

Following the release of various Stargate and related classified documents, the story of the Alien underground bases began to leak out amongst the general public. For example, during the 7th International UFO Congress at Nevada on 8 February 1998 Skip Atwater provided a presentation outlining the presence of the four Alien bases on Earth, including mention of Urlatherrke / Mount Zeil.

This was further discussed at a 2000 UFO conference, as noted in the following 2012 posting by James Casbolt on the Subterranean Bases website. Casbolt purports to have access to as yet unclassified information, regarding the Mount Zeil base's history and function:

Mount Zeil is an underground facility in Australia’s Northern Territory. According to my NSA [National Security Agency] contact ‘X3’ the Mt Zeil underground facility is the twin facility to the Pine Gap base in Northern Australia. The following is part of an EYES ONLY document that was given to me by X3 regarding Pine Gap:

The Mt Zeil underground base is an Anunnaki stronghold. The Anunnaki (who may be from the Sirius star system) has a loose strategic alliance with the Draco Prime Reptilians from the Draconis star system. Both ET groups have timetabled this planet for invasion and takeover. However, with the [aid of the] many positive ET races, including the Pleiadians that are helping Humanity, I do not believe this will happen.

Mt. Zeil is a personnel center in Australia’s Northern Territory. ‘It is interesting that this unit appears to have the most personnel. Mt. Zeil had personnel for all bases and is the Homo sapien introduction point,’ he observed. Price (Northern Australia’s CIA station chief) also noted that the site should be approached with caution “…this is a dead assignment, nothing is going on other than all those UFOs flying around Mt. Zeil.”

On 5 March 2000 the Annual International UFO Congress was held at the River Palms Resort in Laughlin, Nevada. Leonard Buchanan confirmed the existence of four previously undisclosed Extraterrestrial bases discovered on planet Earth. Mr. Buchanan detailed his background as a military Controlled Remote Viewer (CRV). His company trains CRVers at all levels and performs CRV work for individuals, corporations, and government agencies. Mr. Buchanan is also a lifelong psychic as well as an alien abductee. [According to Buchanan] during the military-controlled remote viewing sessions, trained observers discovered four extraterrestrial bases found across the globe. These ET bases are located at Mt. Parted in Northern Spain, Mt. Inyangani in Zimbabwe, Mt. Hayes in Alaska and Mt. Zeil in Australia. The Pyrenees location is a “main base” from which “flying units” (UFOs) took off and landed and was under Mount Perdido. The African base under Mount Nyangani is a base for maintenance and repair. The base under Mount Zeil in Australia is for a mixture of “personnel” from the other bases, while the fourth, under Mount Hayes in Alaska, is a weather and geological study center. (Casbolt 2012)

This report follows on information provided by Price, McMoneagle and others since the 1970s. A later confirmation took place during 2013 and is outlined below by Michael Miley from UFO Magazine.

Confirmed: Four “Alien” Bases On Earth

At the January 2, 2013 Annual International UFO Congress held at the River Palms Resort in Laughlin, Nevada, Leonard Buchanan confirmed the existence of four previously disclosed Extraterrestrial bases discovered on planet Earth. Mr. Buchanan detailed his background as a military controlled remote viewer (CRV). His company trains CRVers at all levels and performs CRV work for individuals, corporations, and government agencies. Mr. Buchanan is also a lifelong psychic as well as an Alien abductee. During the military controlled remote viewing sessions, trained observers discovered four extraterrestrial bases found across the globe. These ET bases are located at Mt. Parted in Northern Spain, Mt. Inyangani in Zimbabwe, Mt. Hayes, Alaska and Mt. Zeil, Australia. Interestingly, the Pentagon has not denied that these ET bases exist. Point in fact, these isolated locations are just the places that are easily to defend against. In addition, many local residents have seen secret U.S. troops set up their own clandestine “bases” next to the Extraterrestrial “bases.” A wide variety of scientists and UFO researchers have speculated that certain Extraterrestrial Races are working in these secret underground bases with an international scientific human faction. Humans and definite off-world races have been proven to be working together in super-secret underground bases at Area 51 in Nevada, Pine Gap, Australia and El Yunque, Puerto Rico. Many contractors who have worked on the construction of these underground bases are afraid to talk about them and will do so only “off the record.” Every one of these witnesses have been threatened by the military and constantly reminded of their “oath”. Some have even been murdered, and their death made to look like a suicide. But enough of these witnesses have described Alien beings working side-by-side with military personnel, physicists and mathematicians on a wide variety of experiments. The purpose of the Aliens' intentions remains a total mystery even to those in these working groups. But some top military brass have all but admitted that the Aliens plans are not totally “altruistic”, and parts of the ET/human project are very “troubling.” The creation of Alien-human hybrids obviously must be part of that classified agenda. But what the timetable is in having these “hybrids” co-exist with the rest of humanity, and what effect it will have with human life around the world remain topics of heated discussion within the hallowed walls of the Pentagon. There is even speculation that the new breed of Alien/human hybrids will replace the current crop of Homo sapiens entirely. Many extraterrestrial races are getting “tired” of current human activities and plan to drastically change the “status quo.” Part of these changes includes abolishing all nuclear weapons and wars, the end of clear-cutting old growth forests, a moratorium on strip mining, and stopping all pollution of Earth’s waterways. “Perhaps eliminating ‘State’ UFO debunkers would be an excellent policy-decision that can be made right now,” prophesied Art Wholeflaffer, President of HACA (Human-Alien Contact Agenda). HACA is in the forefront of establishing open contract between ETs and the more enlightened members of the human race. “It’s not too late to prove that humans are truly a decent sort, who can be trusted with ultra-high-technology and other helpful equipment!” asserted Art. “HACA is ready to institute free-energy devices, anti-gravity mechanisms and cold fusion technologies for the benefit of ALL mankind. We need to be instituting a one-world government based on real participatory democracy and establishing a joint human-ET exchange program. The time is now to whip this planet into shape. My heart goes out to UFO debunkers, they will have to join the human race and give up their old ways. Their service to the “State” is duly noted and your medals will be sent to you as soon as possible,” explained Wholeflaffer. The masses of humanity totally agreed with that assessment and are willing to sign on as quickly as possible. Laughlin, a former operations and training officer for a top-secret U.S. Army intelligence unit, said that a study within that group had partially confirmed a previous report of four separate extraterrestrial “bases” on earth. Capt. Frederick H. “Skip” Atwater (Retired), said the bases were indicated within mountains located in the Pyrenees on the Franco-Spanish border, in the northern territory of Australia, in the African nation of Zimbabwe, and in Alaska. In addition to his military career, during which he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal for his work with the psychic intelligence unit, Atwater is currently research director for the Monroe Institute in Faber, Virginia, a world-famous non-profit research organization studying human consciousness. The Pyrenees location is a “main base” from which “flying units” (UFOs) took off and landed and was under Mount Perdido. The African base under Mount Inyangani is a base for maintenance and repair. As noted in the video, each base contains an underground area, usually with a large concrete cover / roof and an emitter tower on top sending energy into space and, in turn, receiving information. The age of the four bases is generally unknown, but could be ancient, and they seem to be connected in some manner, like a cobweb, but at present lay largely dormant. They appear to be command, control and communication centres connecting to a fixed orbital platform in space, which is automated and unoccupied, and which is technologically advanced. This has also likely been in place for a long time. Additional bases are apparently located in the ocean, and they all serve to harness Earth energy [Tesla’s free energy], which is then sent to an unknown location, perhaps via the orbital platform. All the bases are occupied by Aliens and, in some instances, human, military personnel. An outline of their work is contained in the following two videos.

7. The Russ Pearson video 2020

During September 2020 a video relating to Urlatherrke / Mount Zeil was posted on YouTube by Russ Pearson. It generated a lively discussion. The video itself was quite mysterious and had numerous comments attached dealing with secrecy and the extent to which Google imagery of the area was being manipulated, specifically within Google Earth.

As Pearson noted, when queried as to what exactly he was showing in the old Google Earth screenshots presented of Urlatherrke / Mount Zeil, he responded:

What I am showing is apparent rock faces which are distinctly out of place. It may well be these are the doors leading into the hill of the alleged under ground bunker. I have also highlighted some metallic looking objects - one looks like a piece of equipment, the other one has a very alien looking head. Go to Google Earth now and its all blacked out. .... I'll send you all the screen shots I took about 5 years ago. Coincidentally I posted some of the screenshot images on Google Maps. One particular image of the "doors" had 36,000 views. 1 or 2 others had 1,000 to 1,500 views, but the rest were about 5 or 6 hundred views. Go figure that one..... Pine Gap is supposed to be 16 levels deep, nuclear powered and located in a magnetic anomaly. If you have a look from Google Earth, the area looks like a giant serpent's eye. What I read was Mt Zeil was an Alien - human hybrid breeding facility, and holding centre.... The brown rock faces are doors that open into the mountain apparently. You can see what appear to be several Alien humanoid shaped objects, including a child.

There is no doubt that, globally, Google map images are manipulated to hide top secret structures. The extent to which this is carried out in the Pine Gap - Urlatherrke / Mount Zeil region is unknown, and could only really be tested by a ground survey of the restricted areas, which is impossible. As the Urlatherrke / Mount Zeil area is relatively isolated, and not often climbed, no record has been found which discusses its western edge, or any other part that may hold an entrance to an underground facility. The Google images of that area featured in this article are intriguing, for the following reasons:

They feature a blackish section which is unlike most other parts of the mountain as photographed by Google. These areas may just be the result of vegetation variants; or they may be signs of Alien or man-made interventions.
The what-appears-to-be quarried area on the western extremity of the mountain is obvious, but not explained. It may be a remnant of the underground construction activities.
There appear to be a east-west trending dirt road leading up and into the western edge of the mountain.
The eastern edge of that blackish western quarried section seen in the photographs contains a blurred photographic anomaly which could be hiding the underground entrance.

8. The Mt Zeil Alien

On 11 July 2023 a photograph purporting to be an Anunnaki Alien / Extraterrestrial from Mt. Zeil was re-posted by Ro Bo on the UFO/UAP Disclosure Australia Facebook page. The photograph may originate from the early to mid' 2000s, though the original posting by American Michael Lee Hill was also dated 11 July 2023.

Though declared by some a fake and debunked, the image and associated information (a text card) was nevertheless intriguing. It had supposedly been taken by either (1) German photographer Uwe Krejci as part of a speculative modelling shoot, with some of the related images having been used for book covers since 2008; or (2) A.R. Bordon of the US National Security Agency Reverse Engineering team, possibly working out of Mount Zeil. Of perhaps most interest is the text in the personal information card presented as part of the image. That text is the output of a dot matrix printer and reads as follows:

The references to SAM are in part explained on the original Facebook posting by Hill, as follows:

Would you like to see a real photo of a real Anunnaki female? This is the real deal. I know a lot of people are going to say that this is proven to be a hoax and it's just not true. I actually know the person who took the photograph. His name was A.R. Bordon and he was the head of the NSA Reverse Engineering team that is in contact with them. Zoom in on the info... Sam = Anunnaki. That is there own word for their own race translated into Western English. They do Not call themselves Anunnaki - that was our word for them. The Anunnaki call their planet the Ša.A.M.e. The people of the Ša.A.M.e. call their own race the Ša.A.M.i. Ša.A.M.i. translated in Western English is the SAM [in the card text]. Only a true insider would know this! Oh, her eyes are also below her ears (not human) and her nose is not human as well.

Lee later mentions in the associated chat: This photo was taken at a link conference aboard an Anunnaki Mothership. His posting contains numerous additional comments concerning the Anunnaki, and the location and veracity of the photograph, one of which was from a South Australian resident and states: I remember seeing an interview with the late Robert Dean saying the Annunaki use Pine Gap as a 'rancho relaxo' which I found intriguing considering it's basically in my backyard.

A similar, though different image of a female was posted by John Schulte on 13 July 2023 with the following message: A while back I got a strange message from Dr. Roy W. Gordon claiming to be from Pine Gap. I would have dismissed it if I hadn't heard discussions about him on another forum. In any case, I did a little digging and along with the photo here in Micheal's post, I found this one as well. They are apparently from an underground base not far from Pine Gap called Mt. Zeil. I also found a third photo of a woman which was definitely a copycat and not the real deal but I believe that this one is as authentic as the one that is posted here.

9. John Vivanco 2024

An updated on the Mt Zeil site was provided in February 2024 with comments by remote viewer John Vivanco. He noted that in attempts by his group to remove view the Mount Zeil Alien base, they were blocked. As a result of publicity surrounding previous remote viewing events, those involved with the base had put in place various activities which would make it difficult for RVers to access the site. This is described in the following video, around the 24 minute mark. As a result, no new information was acquired.

10. Discussion

Is it true? Apart from the information provided above, there is no concrete, definitive, public evidence to confirm the existence of an Alien base at Urlatherrke / Mount Zeil, or, for that matter, at any of the other three sites first identified by Pat Price back in 1973. Such officially-sanctioned, concrete evidence may never be forthcoming, at least in the foreseeable future. This is because, in 2024 the subject of UFOs and Aliens still largely remains one of public ridicule and official denial. As such, the story of ancient Alien bases hidden underground within mountains around the world is presented to the public as extreme, and unbelievable, to say the least. Yet, as more and more information is being disclosed, and the relationship between this general subject of Aliens / UFOs and cosmic consciousness is revealed, one cannot simply cast it off as mere fantasy, as skeptics are want to do. Just as the nearby Pine Gap American communications facility is above top secret - and real - and little known or cared about by the general public in Australia, it must also be said that reference to Urlatherrke / Mount Zeil as an Alien base is even more of a mystery. This is due not only to the fact that the story may prove to be a falsehood, but also - if it is indeed true - to the fact of the international government-led cover-up over the matter of UFOs and the very existence of Extraterrestrial life. In regard to the latter the Australian government has, since at least World War II, followed the lead of the US government and its public : private elite cabal in regard to its stance on the issue, namely, that it is must be officially denied in all instances. As a result, nothing much is known about Pine Gap, and even less about a possible underground Alien facility at Urlatherrke / Mount Zeil.

The present article is an attempt to bring together disparate material on the subject and see what it reveals. For example, the 1982 testimony by remote viewer Joe McMoneagle regarding the large black door covering the entrance to the facility, when tied in to the recent Google Earth image of the blackish landform aberration seen therein on the mountain's western extremity, is interesting to say the least. Has this Google satellite image been doctored to mask the reality, or is the blackish area on the western extremity evidence of construction-related quarrying at this remotest of sites in the middle of Australia? The present author tends towards belief in what Price and McMoneagle saw. But who knows what the ultimate truth is.....
