Open Borders
Welcome! Welcome!
The concept of "open borders" is as idiotic and unrealistic as the transgender claim that men are women and women are men. Just as individuals and groups have, since time immemorial, shut their door or closed the gate on strangers and those who have not been invited in, so too countries and nation states have always restricted entry and deported those who have not following the entry rules as clearly set in place through tradition and law. The Australian Aborigines, for example, over thousands of years, developed custom in regard to how strangers and even friends could enter upon their Country and engage with them in ceremony, trade and passage. For example, upon encountering a camp, the visitor or visitors would sit down and wait to be welcomed in. The same applies with countries - people are welcome as tourists, with temporary visas to engage in study or work, or as genuine refugees or immigrants. In all such circumstances there are rules to be followed in order to gain such entry. Where the rules are not followed, ignored or otherwise broken, then deportation is often the swift response. Why, then, is the topic of open borders such a controversial one in the 2020s? Wikipedia defines Open Borders as follows:-------------------
References
Open borders are jurisdictions, such as nations or states, that allow the free movement of people across their boundaries with limited or no restrictions, eliminating patrols and substantive border control. It represents a philosophy advocating for the removal of immigration barriers to enhance global mobility, economic opportunity, and human rights.
