1. Faces in the dark
In early April 2025 something happened to the writer that had not taken place at any point during his previous sixty eight years of existence - he saw three faces during the early morning waking hours, whilst his eyes were closed - a man, a woman and an old man. "What do you mean?" is immediately asked. Well, the answer requires some explanation.....
When human beings close their eyes everything goes dark and they do not see anything. This is normal, as all external light is shut off and the physical process of sight is not enabled. The only time it can be said that we "see" with our eyes closed is when we dream, and visions occur therein within our consciousness. This is a common occurrence for most people. During those dream experiences we do not see through our eyes as such, but through our mind - and that is a big difference. The process of dreaming is not a physical one, but a non-material, sub-conscious experience.
So what took place when, on the morning of 4 April 2025, the writer woke up from his sleep and was lying in bed - awake at around 6am whilst it was still dark, and with eyes closed? At this point a face was seen, as though alive. This was not a normal eyesight experience as all light was shut off; nor was it a normal dream experience, as sleep was no longer the present state of consciousness. What was it? How could something be seen when both normal avenues of visual perception were not in operation?
The image that was seen at the time was a somewhat blurred face in the middle distance. It was the upper part of the body and indistinguishable from a male or female. The only clue given as to who or what it could be was when a thought entered the mind of the writer regarding his late brother Terry Organ, who had died at the age of 56 in 2016 from a brain tumor. The image only appeared briefly - for about 3 or 4 seconds. Immediately the writer realised that there was something very strange about this event. It was unique.
According to his experiences, he believed that there was no way in which a person could close their eyes and produce a real image in their mind, or in their sight. Yes, we can think, and 'dream' in the waking state, but we cannot produce actual live images in association with that. All we can normally do in the non-material realm is have thoughts and feelings, and those can be combined to describe a vision or image. But the real, live vision of that constructed image does not actually appear to us. People can say "I have a vision", or "I thought of what it could look like," but the actual live image does not appear, and such had never appeared to the writer during a life which was now entering its final years. As a result of all these thoughts, there was confusion, and some alarm, at what had taken place. This, however, soon passed as life simply moved on.
A week or so later, around 12 April, a similar event occurred. Once again it was early in the morning, after awaking, but still lying in bed with eyes closed. This time a blurred, female figure appeared, standing in the middle distance with nothing specific around her, clothed in a long dress. There was no real colour or definition, but simply a kind of grey. After a second or two, a thought one again appeared in the mind of the writer regarding his elder sister Denise who had passed away just 18 months before his brother. Like the previous thought regarding Terry, it appeared spontaneously, without any impetus from the writer. The thought was also very brief, occupying only a second or two.
Were these two visions therefore of the writer's siblings? As there was no clear image of either of them during the events, it was not possible to say for sure. But, due to the clear presence in the writer's consciousness of the thoughts, it seemed obvious that it was them, and they had been placed in his mind for that specific purpose. No other thoughts as to the identity of the visions took place at the time.
Finally, about a week later, a third face appeared to the writer, in identical circumstances to the previous two. It was brief (4-5 seconds), clearer, not a full body but merely a head / face of a man with strange skin completely covered with short bristles as if he had not shaved for a couple of days. In addition, there was normal colour in the face, of the skin and features. However, the identity of the person was unknown. Was it the writer's father Keith, perhaps, who had died at the age of 70 in 2002? It did not appear to be, though both the vision and the late father did have a similarly distinctive nose.
As of writing (5 May 2025) no further faces were seen, and the writer was left with the question: How does one explain these three events?

2. Hallucination or remote viewing?
The only activities the writer is aware of that could explain the appearance of the three faces are extremely rare closed-eye visual hallucinations, and the so-called paranormal activity known as remote viewing. The former is transitory and not subject to control; the latter can be both extended and controlled. Remote viewing, for example, is a process whereby an individual, or group of people, can see remote events take place. These events can be present or in the past; in some instances they can be from the future, though in such cases there is no assurance that the event will necessarily take place. When events are viewed remotely the viewer actually and often precisely sees them, in a manner similar to the writer's spontaneous viewing of the three faces. However, remote viewers are often given co-ordinates to follow and/or specific instructions around time and space in order to arrive at a destination for viewing. They can then report back in person with an account of their experiences, often supported by drawings.
It seems that in both instances - remote viewing and the vision of the three faces - that a similar event is taking place, namely the actual vision appears of a real, live (past, present or future) occurrence. In the case of the three faces, they appeared to the writer during his early morning, waking hours. In the case of the remote viewer, they are seen when they 'travel' to the event, or in some way are able to call up an audiovisual record of its occurrence.
Remote viewing is a real phenomena which has been verified on many occasions, but most significantly by numerous studies carried out by the American Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and other organisation since the 1960s, largely in secret. It is also an activity currently carried on by professionals and amateurs on behalf of organisations and individuals. Wikipedia largely presents a denial of its existence as it does not fit the normal scientific paradigm and is therefore called a pseudoscience, despite the overwhelming evidence for its practice and usefulness. It is very popular with spy and intelligence networks worldwide, especially in the US and Russia, as it allows deep levels of access to secret activities and information gathering.
As a result of all of this the writer is left to ask: Can the process of the three faces be repeated, or is it out of his hands? That question remains unanswered......

3. What is it?
So what was the viewing of the three figures? ..... Frankly, I did not know, until I listened to the following presentation by Victoria Bond, who described the event in detail:
The real reason you can't see, hear or feel spirit, Awaken with Victoria Bond, 19 May 2025, YouTube, duration: 46.26 minutes.
Bond pins it down to a re-awakening of mediumship, harking back to abilities we possessed as children.
